Our Process
At West Sunset Tile & Stone Slabs, we are proud to simplify the installation process, ensuring minimal disruption to your home or business. We understand that having extra people around can throw things into confusion, and being displaced from your kitchen or bathroom is frustrating. While we’re careful and take a detailed approach to every installation, we recognize that time is valuable. That’s why we work promptly, ensuring you can return to everyday life as soon as possible.
1. Estimate
Every job starts with information; we encourage you to contact us to request a complimentary in-home estimation today. One of our representatives will schedule your appointment, allowing you to get a better idea of pricing. Our technicians will take cursory measurements, answer your questions, and discuss your goals and budget. We prefer in-person estimates for the highest degree of accuracy, but we can also examine photos sent by email.
2. Template
We will take the necessary time templating in measuring your countertops. Before we arrive, we ask that you have all necessary cabinets installed.
For this process, we use state-of-the-art technology to accurately measure your countertop space, guaranteeing that your cabinets and appliances properly fit together after installation; if you need to make any adjustments to your countertops after this day, we ask you to contact our team for advisement as it will affect the exact dimensions we’ve collected. If you are providing the sink, we will take it to the shop to make the cuts we need.
Finally, we’ll schedule a day to select your slabs, finalize the remaining details, and sign the agreement to begin.
3. Slab Selection
After Templating Day, you’ll hand-select your slabs at a reputable stone supplier in the area. We encourage you to bring any paint colors, cabinet doors, or tiles that you want to match for installation. You can choose from several materials, depending on your budget and needs, including:
- Marble
- Limestone
- Granite
- Travertine
- Onyx
- Quartz
When you arrive at the local supplier, inform them that you’re working with West Sunset Tile & Stone Slab. Then, contact us after your visit to ensure your hand-selected slabs are correctly held.
4. Fabrication
Next, we lay out the measurements and templates on your chosen slabs. This step allows us to find the best location for the seams, such as along the granite veining. We use a bridge saw with diamond-tipped blades to cut the stone precisely to the template specifications. Then, the countertops move through production, receiving any sink cut-outs and edge detailing needed.
Once fabrication is done, we measure the countertops again to account for accuracy. Then it’s time to install.
5. Installation
You can expect our team to arrive on time as scheduled on the day of installation.
6. Guarantee
West Sunset Tile & Stone Slab’s work is always guaranteed!
